The Consortium for the Study of Intelligence was founded
in 1979 as a project of the National Strategy Information
Center. The Consortium builds on more than twenty
years of experience in examining intelligence and requirements
to identify "effective practices" and "indicators
of effectiveness" in the post-9/11 environment. It
provides a forum for leading U.S. and foreign specialists
to exchange ideas regularly about effective intelligence
in a democratic society. The Consortium also serves as a
resource for the media, government, public policy centers,
and academics providing informed and nonpartisan discussion
about intelligence and democracy.
